was founded in January 2009 by JamesBeard Award winning executive Chef Donald Linkwith the goal to support the continuous growth of his family of restaurants in New Orleans. Chef Link, his partners and staff are passionate about southern food. Working with local purveyors and farmers, the Link team is committed to utilizing quality, local ingredientsand traditional cooking techniques. We are enthusiastic about wine and focus on simple, attentive service. An honest and solid foundation of all four members of the Link Restaurant Group.
Chef Link’s Herbsaint Restaurant - the first member of the family – opened in 2000 on historic Saint Charles Avenue. The restaurant showcases Link’s affinity to French influenced contemporary southern cuisine, served in a modern bistro setting. Cochon Restaurant opened its doors in 2006, where Chef Link has reconnected with his culinary roots, serving the traditional Cajun Southern dishes he grew up with in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area.
Calcasieu and Cochon Butcher are the latest additions to Link Restaurant Group, opening in early 2009: Calcasieu is a private event facility, showcasing contemporary Louisiana cuisine, eclectic wines and excellent service for groups from 10 to 275 people. Cochon Butcher is a retail butcher shop,a deli and a wine bar specializing in house made meats and sausages, high grade fresh cuts of all natural meat, sandwiches and ready to cook items. Cochon Butcher’s late night sWINE bar features a hand-selected wine list to go along with house made charcuterie and small plates.
